[At some point during the day, when Raidou knows Yuji is away, there is a soft knock on Choso's door. Outside stands one (1) morose-looking summoner when the door is answered. Though, he is doing an admirable job of standing tall and shoulders straight, as if coming to the door with grim news from the warfront.]

( There's a short, squat little curse waiting for Choso when he arrives back at his room. In a bag at its feet is a see-through cage with a stick insect chilling inside. There are printed pages on how to keep one as a pet, plus a cheery little handwritten note that reads don't eat it :)

[ Yuji doesn't bother leaving his gift for Choso on a doorstep; there's no point, when they live together. Instead, he leaves it on their shared bed, wrapped in purple paper and tucked into a neat box. Inside, Choso will find some hand-wrapped gifts:

🐯 A set of colouring books and some nice pencils, of various animals and different floral patterns.Under all the gifts is a little note:
🐯 Photographs - some of the two of them, some of just Yuji, some of their friends, all in polaroid format, all put together in a little scrapbook with notes from Yuji.
🐯 Some chocolates, a mixture of dark and milk.
🐯 A pair of tiger slippers.
🐯 One long, dark purple scarf, which seems almost hand made, as if Yuji attempted to craft it himself, but then fixed by the end - where he definitely got some kind of professional involved.

🐯 A giant throw blanket, to go over their bed and for them to share.
🐯 Tickets to the cat onsen, so Choso can go and play with the cats.

Inside he will find another plant ... or what will become another plant in due time. There's also a note, written in the big, confident pencil strokes of the sender.

[ When Choso returns to his room on base following the trip to Mexico, there is a Parcel, a medium sized cardboard box wrapped in plain butcher paper. When moved, the box's contents clatter in the way that only broken pottery can, sharp edges knocking up against each other despite the paper meant to protect them from further damage. Inside are indeed several broken pottery pieces: a small green plate with a painting of a fish swimming across the side with a chip in the rim; a handsome, rusty red bowl cracked right down the middle; and a large black teacup with a brilliant blue glaze crowning the vessel's rim like a wave receding from a beach, broken into nearly half a dozen shards.
A note, addressed to Choso (the characters of his name written by a decisive hand) sits next to it, plain paper folded and waiting to be read. ]

I've told you my own thoughts on making repairs, but figured that maybe you'd want to try your hand at it rather than just listen to an old man's lecture. All work, in skillful means or otherwise, is best expressed in action. Kintsukuroi is similar to maki-e in some regards, and I have plenty of urushi to spare should you want to try yourself.[ It's unsigned, but who else could it be? ]
